Hospice Experience: 7 years
Why did you choose to serve in hospice? I worked as a CNA and RN for several years in various settings and during that time, I had a great deal of exposure to patients with terminal illness. I found that a majority of patients and families lacked the knowledge/education needed in order to make inform decisions regarding their plan of care and the quality of life they wanted with the time they had left. Advocating for patients and families has always been very important to me and I felt/ still feel that specializing in end-of-life care was, is, and always be a calling for me.
What do you enjoy most about being a part of the SouthEast Hospice family? Where do I start? SE is an amazing place to work! Not only is it a place of business, but every individual that makes up the team has extraordinary commission, Kindness, integrity, and the daily drive to want to provide the best care advocacy for our patients.
